Finding the right balance between cost and performance in small circuit designs can be tricky. You’re working on a compact circuit and trying to keep expenses low, but you also want it to perform well.

So, how do you figure out where to splurge, where to cut back, and when good enough is truly sufficient?
 
I messed up big time making a tiny sensor board. Now, I spend more on the important stuff like power and timing, go cheap on the rest, and test it ASAP. If it works, I'm done.
 
Making tiny boards taught me quick. Pay up for parts that really matter, save money where you can, and test early on. If it can handle some stress, it's good to go.
 
I used to try to make everything perfect and ended up broke. Now, I focus on what matters, like accuracy and power, don't sweat the small stuff like connectors and fancy packaging, and stop when it passes the real test.
 
Packaging was always my nemesis. I can build a circuit and most of them have ended up doing what I want. Putting them in a decent box has always been a crapshoot. And the most expensive part, unless I could snag a sample.
 
I hear you. Packaging can often be more complicated than the circuit itself.
