Electronics habits you finally fixed

As you reflect on the past year, there's that one pesky habit that stands out maybe it was leaving cords all tangled up, neglecting to back things up, or pushing your gear to its limits. It feels so satisfying to finally put an end to it. What electronics habit are you grateful to have let go of this year?

Earlier this year, I lost a whole bunch of photos because I kept putting off my backups. That was my wake-up call. Now, I make it a point to back things up every Sunday, and ditching that old habit has saved me a lot of stress.

I used to have a terrible habit of pushing everything to its limit laptops would overheat, tools would die right in the middle of a project it was chaotic. After one device finally quit on me during a job, I began pacing myself and scheduling regular checkups. Moving away from that use it until it breaks mindset has made my life so much easier.

I wouldn’t call it a habit, but I’m always tinkering with my A/V room setup, and it’s a bit maddening sometimes how different components affect other components’ setup.

I’m confident I’ll get it right eventually, but with so many projects in the works right now, who knows when that will work kts way to the top of the list?

What I REALLY ought to do is stop starting new projects when I already have a dozen open-unfinished projects already.

That sounds pretty familiar. Getting into A/V projects can be super addictive, maybe setting a New Year’s resolution to wrap up a few of them first wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

The room does have a rarget setup, and I’m getting close, but of course, every step ai take these days involves a bunch of stuff I hadn’t anticipated. That stretches everything out.

But it’s still fun figuring and fiddling.

Yeah I get it, those extra surprises can slow things down, but honestly trying to figure things out is part of the fun anyway.
