For tiny components, your best bet is solder paste applied with a syringe, followed by a hot air rework station. This reflow technique is fast and minimizes bridges! For ICs, use a good soldering iron with a fine tip like a chisel or bevel. Apply flux and use the drag soldering method. Tin the iron heavily, drag it across the pins, and then use fresh flux and a clean tip to wick away bridges. I must say the absolute secret weapon for both methods is liquid flux! A drop before soldering ensures excellent wetting and prevents mistakes.
