I’m trying to improve the performance of my RF circuits. What methods do you find effective for tuning, like choosing components, setting up matching networks, or using software tools? I’d really appreciate any advice on how to get the most efficiency out of these circuits while keeping noise and distortion at bay
 
Utilize a Smith chart for matching high-Q components, and run your simulations in ADS or HFSS. To reduce parasitics, focus on a tight PCB layout. Remember, effective shielding and grounding are crucial for minimizing noise and intermodulation issues.

you know, the Quality Factor of your capacitors and inductors is your single biggest efficiency lever. LowQ parts are basically tiny built in heaters. Always use highQ components (like high quality ceramics or air core inductors for higher power) in your critical matching networks
 
Absolutely on the same page. Q factor really impacts efficiency. I’d also suggest keeping an eye out for self-resonance in inductors at RF, it can creep in and throw off your match.
