building an RF detector for super high frequencies

I need to build an RF signal detector and I'm looking for some serious advice
I need an antenna and detector right on the PCB that can pick up signals all the way from 8GHz up to 40GHz.
what's the best thing to do this? Any chip or design suggestions are welcome!

I recall working with a wideband detector in the lab. I tried to push a basic diode design, but it didn’t hold up beyond 12 GHz. In the end, I switched to using specialized MMIC chips and paid attention to grounding, which really stabilized the setup.
 
I haven’t done any work in the GHz region, but as far as antennas are concerned, depending on orientation needs, designing one right into the PWB could save money and a connection or two.
 
Right, having built-in antennas can make things a lot easier and reduce the need for extra components if the design permits.
