I'm assembling QFPs up to 144 pins and QFNs, with no components smaller than 0805. I'm considering a vacuum pen tool with foot pedal control, any recommendations for reliable options in this range?

A vacuum pen with a foot pedal is a great choice for this type of work, especially with higher pin count QFPs and QFNs. A foot pedal gives you better control and speed for the components you're working with, which are relatively large.

You'll want a system with adjustable vacuum pressure and a variety of ESD-safe tips and suction cups. The adjustable pressure is key for switching between delicate QFPs and components with larger thermal pads like QFNs. Brands like Fisnar and Virtual Industries are good, reliable options. Make sure to get one that includes a stand for the pen. It seems like a small detail, but it keeps your workspace organized and efficient!

Great tips. Using an adjustable vacuum and ESD-safe tips is essential for dealing with QFPs and QFNs effectively. A foot pedal control can really enhance your speed, and that pen stand is a real space-saver.
