dealing woth messy cords

my mom asked me to check on her AVR/streaming setup and it has a seriously messy power situation, so messy. I need to unify it.
I'm thinking of running separate 5V and 12V circuits about10m from my pantry (where the routers are) into the living room for all my DC gear.
I'll make sure to size the cable properly and add extra capacity.
For the 230V stuff, I'd just install a separate wall socket for each device.
Does this plan sound good for a clean setup?

Yeah, I had a similar problem setting up my dad's home theater. Running separate DC lines really helped keep things neat. Plus, having different sockets made fixing problems a piece of cake

I’m worried about the voltage drop on that 5V line over 10m. did you have to use a step up/step down converter at the end of the run, or did you just use super thick wire to keep the voltage stable?
