Last year, I decided to give my home studio a makeover by switching out all the preamps and rearranging the speakers. Initially, it sounded pretty messy, but after some time, things fell into place. I ended up picking up a lot about acoustic treatment and how signal flow works.

In 2025, I built a small synth module just for kicks, right from scratch. I wasn't sure if it would even function, but it was a fantastic surprise to hear it actually making music.

In my own home studio I found that the choice of speakers and acoustic treatment were the two biggest factors in getting an accurate listening environment.
