Getting Altium'ed with legal notice

Anyone else catch wind of Altium going after persons lately? good friend of mine just got hit with a legal notice, apparently over some old, unused license that got flagged somehow. It's got me checking everything again on my setup now. Crazy how something from years back can come back to bite. Anyone here deal with something like this? and is this a common thing, or if this is just Altium tightening the screws lately.

Your friend should probably take the legal notice seriously and look into it ASAP. Maybe get some legal advice to understand his options.

it seems to be happening enough that it's causing concern to some people. Aa good reminder to keep tabs on your own licenses!

Sounds like one more reason not to use Altium.

Yeah Ive heard of a few people getting hit with the same thing recently. Sounds like Altium's really cracking down on old or inactive licenses, even ones that havent been used in years. Definitely feels like they're tightening up lately. Curious if anyone else has dealt with it and how they handled it.
