I am thinking of buying a 2021 h s anderson hs-1 madcat from Japan. This guitar with was made by Morris solely for the
Japanese market in a limited batch with individual item number (within the batch) on the back. It has Bill Lawrence pickups on the back, a 3 way switch and 12" radius. Does anyone know this gitar? If I bought it could I plug it straight into UK 240 volt mains without damaging it? regards Al

I’m not a musician, so I don’t know guitars.

I’d definitely check the power supply to see if it’s rated for 240vAC. Many items built in the past 40 years are, but you should check first. It’s also possible that there’s a power transformer with taps on it to select a particular mains voltage. If neither of these are true, then younwould need a transformer to reduce the voltage in your mains to the 100VAC that your unit probably requires.

Are you kidding us?
 
seems to be some confusion here.🤔 You dont plug a guitar into a wall socket. No guitar has a specified voltage this way. You might have active pickups but thats another story.
Only thing to consider is the amp when it comes to voltage.
