I'm trying to seriously beef up my Raspberry Pi 5, and I'm wondering if this is even possible with a single HAT.
I need to add some serious functionality, like PoE , M.2 slot for a small SSD, and an extra gigabit Ethernet port

Has anyone seen a magical one stop HAT that covers all three of these things?

I was also looking for that all-in-one HAT but couldn't find it. I just did PoE and SSD as different things.

When I first put my Pi into a network project, I wanted that exact setup. I couldn't find one HAT that did PoE, M.2, and more gigabit. So, I put together a PoE HAT, used a PCIe thing for the SSD, and threw in a USB-Ethernet adapter. It looked a bit messy, but it all worked once I wired it up.

When I made my Pi 4 better, I wanted that combo too. I got a PoE HAT, a USB-to-Ethernet thing, and an M.2 board. Not one board, but it did the job.

you're looking for the Waveshare PCIe TO ETH M.2 HAT+. it has a Gigabit Ethernet port and an M.2 slot for NVMe SSDs (up to 2280 size). the catch is that it doesn't have built in PoE. however, since it has a stackable 40 pin header, you could theoretically stack a slim PoE HAT on top, though you'd have to get creative with the spacers and airflow to keep the Pi 5 from overheating
