Tools still on the wishlist

I've had my eye on a good oscilloscope for quite some time now, but just when I think I'm ready to get one, something new catches my attention like a 3D printer or some upgraded meters. Keeping my dreams big makes the workshop a lot more exciting! What tools are you hoping to add to your collection these days?

I was saving up to buy an oscilloscope, but then I got distracted by a good soldering station. It was definitely the best thing I could have bought for my little electronics projects.

When I was messing with motor controllers, I planned to get an oscilloscope next. But, I ended up buying a bench power supply. It made testing safer and my builds worked a lot better.

I wanted a lathe for ages, but then I saw a bargain on a welder first. I bought it, and suddenly I could do a bunch of new stuff. Sometimes the distractions are the best tools you can get.

Got the scope, got the soldering station, got the power supply, got the signal generator. But then I’ve been at this for half a century. I could stand a distortion analyzer, though.

In the gatage, I’d like a good router table and a welder.
