When you’re deep into soldering or designing music can be your best friend

You know those times when the right tunes just help you focus? It could be a playlist, an album you love, or even some random songs that create the perfect atmosphere.

What do you usually jam to while you’re working on your projects?

Classic rock is usually what I pick ever since I fixed my first bike, it's been my go-to music to keep me focus.

I started blasting metal tracks while working long nights in the mines it kept my energy up. Now, when I’m in the shop or fixing up electronics, I switch between that and chill synthwave playlists. It’s a nice mix of drive and focus.

I found instrumental playlists kept me focus when I was tinkering in the garage. Now I still pick lo-fi beats when I’m wiring or hammering.

I still have a record (well, about 1300 records altogether) that pretty much got me through college. It’s a “Wind in the Trees” album, just enough noise to mask out the rest of the world and let me concentrate on my homework. My turntable would automatically repeat, which really let me stay in the zone.

I don’t really need that sort of thing these days, because all of my work is self-interest, no deadlines or due dates, so if I don’t feel it, I don’t do it. Glad to have made it that far.
