As the snow builds up outside and your workshop falls silent, it’s easy to feel a bit cooped up. When you’re ready to step away from the circuits and soldering, what outdoor adventures will help you stay active, have a blast, and make it through the cold months?

I grab my headlamp and head out for night walks after a snowfall.
Everything feels both quiet and bright at once.
It’s straightforward and inexpensive, and it keeps me active enough to make the workshop enjoyable again rather than feeling stuck.

When the bench falls silent, I bundle up and venture out onto the snowy trails, whether on foot or with snowshoes. The fresh air helps clear my mind and sparks new ideas. A little frostbite on my fingers is a fair trade for avoiding cabin fever.
