Just starting out with PCB design? Watch out for bad trace routes, weak grounds, and not enough space between things. What mistakes did you make, and how did you fix them?
First board I made had traces way too close together. I was excited and rushed the layout. Learned to use the design rule check properly and now I always double-check spacing before sending it out.
I messed up by not thinking enough about where I put vias. This caused signal problems. Now, I route important traces first and keep analog and digital stuff separate to cut down on noise. Also, I learned the hard way that ground plane continuity is key.
