You're bent over your workbench, the iron is sizzling, flux is ready to go, and you've got a long session of soldering ahead of you. What do you tune into that makes the time fly by while you keep your circuits in check?

Last night I started working on a board that I thought would only take about twenty minutes but somehow it turned into two hours.
I ended up putting on an old repair podcast and just lost track of time.
Now it’s my go-to listen whenever I’m soldering and need to escape from reality.

One rainy weekend I rebuilt half a controller while watching a comedy show. I was so caught up that I didn’t even notice how long I’d been working. Since then, I’ve made it a habit to play jokes, documentaries, or lo-fi beats whenever I fire up the soldering iron.

Used to do all my soldering in quiet, but after a long shift almost made me doze off at the bench, I switched things up. Now, I tune into random tech YouTube videos or laid-back playlists. It helps keep my mind alert while my hands stay steady, and the joints turn out looking pretty good.

57chevyradio.com. But then I’m a geezer who actually remembers the days before Elvis.

That's a fantastic link, and a heck of a memory to have. Thanks for sharing.
