What software tools do you trust the most before you start building on the breadboard?

A big fan of simulation tools such as LTspice and KiCad. They really help me spot errors before I even start building on a breadboard.

I use LTspice now, but I know people who recommend falstad's circuit simulator, they said it's a quick, real time simulation, even if its models are more basic

Absolutely. Falstad is great for quick visual checks, but when you need that level of detail and precision, LTspice really shines.
