What circuit projects are you planning for the New Year?

Okay, that sensor board I threw together last spring? Total garbage layout. It works, sure, but it's a hot mess. New year, new me – time to actually do it right this time.

I'm thinking about messing with that mini audio amp I made way back when. It kinda sounded alright, but I was just winging it. This time, I want to take my time, rebuild it, and, you know, figure out how it actually works.

My main thing is to finish this LED controller I just stopped working on last Summer. Stuff came up, and it's just been sitting there. Hopefully, I can get it done this year.

I keep promising myself to stop taking on new projects. Yeah, right. I have an old, fairly low-power audio amplifier that I’ve been wanting to make into a headphone amp for my theater. Shouldn’t be a big deal, but we’ll see.

I’ve been considering using a small display screen as a marquee for my theater, run by a raspberry pi, which I’ve never used before - learning curve ahead!

And then there’s the idea of some holiday window-hangings for next year. Maybe luann cutouts with LEDs to make stuff like a Christmas tree, Santa, maybe a wreath? Shouldn’t be complicated, but certainly time-consuming.

Add those to the ongoing theater projects, my 1979 VW beetle convertible, a patch of lawn makeovers, welding up a cast iron grate for a pathway, and building a flagstone patio next to the new guest suite.

No, I won’t be bored.
